Alex & Ambrosia

The Story of Our Love

It all began with a flirty and friendly message on Hinge in December 2021. Early on in our conversations, we discovered a deep connection through our shared values, especially our close family ties and our adoration for God. What started as paragraph-long exchanges quickly moved to FaceTime video calls (mostly to confirm we were both real, because let’s be honest, its crazy out there!). After confirming we were in fact real people, Alex felt confident asking Ambrosia out on a first date.

We met in person for the first time on January 7, 2022. Alex picked Ambrosia up from her house, opened all doors, and was the ultimate gentleman. They went to dinner at a Japanese Steakhouse, Salt & Charcoal, in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. After six hours of intimate conversation, 10 missed calls from Ambrosia's mom and best friend, and endless laughter, we both left thinking, “Did I just find my forever life partner?” From that moment on, our connection only deepened, our conversations grew richer, our laughs louder and our mutual love increased every single day.

One afternoon in May 2022, Alex officially asked Ambrosia to be his girlfriend. With sweet affirmations from him, genuine reciprocation from her, and a mutual desire to give our all, we became an official couple and our adventure together truly began! Since that day we've traveled to different countries, gone to many plays, concerts, restaurants, sporting events, and have fallen in love with the world around us... while falling deeper in love with each other. We've gotten to know one another's families and friend groups and they've supported us along the way. Not to mention, we’ve even embraced each other’s passions, especially Alex’s enthusiasm for his beloved New York Knicks- Ambrosia is now a die hard fan! As our lives blended together, we fell even more deeply in love, day by day.

We are so excited to get married and we can't wait to see how God continues to bless and enrich our lives as we journey to officially becoming one.

FAQs

Can I Bring a Plus One?

To make our day as special and intimate as possible, we are inviting only our closest family and friends. We kindly ask that only those named on your invitation attend. If you’ve been invited to bring a guest, this will be indicated on both your invitation and the RSVP form on our website.

Can We Take Photos During the Ceremony?

To help us all be fully present in the moment, we’ve chosen to have an "unplugged" ceremony. Don’t worry—our talented photographers and videographers will be capturing every special moment, and we’ll be happy to share all the photos and videos with you once we have them! As for the reception, please feel free to take as many photos and videos as you’d like!

What is the Dress Code?

We’d love for our family and friends to dress to impress and join us in celebrating this special day! The dress code is Black Tie Optional | Formal Attire. Examples include floor-length gowns, tuxedos, or suits with ties. Please no jeans or sneakers. We also kindly ask that guests avoid wearing colors traditionally reserved for the bride, such as cream, ivory, or white.

Can I Bring my Children?

We love your children, we really do! However, due to venue limitations, our wedding will be an adults-only affair. We hope this notice is enough time for you to make childcare arrangements so that you can take the day and night off to celebrate with us!

When Should I RSVP?

Formal invitations have been mailed out. When you receive your formal invitation, we ask that if you are able, to RSVP as soon as possible. On the RSVP card, there is a direct link on our website that allows you to submit your RSVP. RSVPs are due by June 15th.
